Checklist to Effectively Implement LoveEd

1. Purchase & receive books

2. Choose the Adult

Ideally, the father will complete LoveEd with the boy and the mother with the daughter, keeping the sexes the same.

If a parent is not available to lead this, choose another trusted & respected adult in the child's life; such as a grandparent, aunt/uncle, or God parent.

It isn't ideal, but if an adult of the same sex is not available, choose an adult of the opposite sex respected by the child.

3. Find time

Either find a 2-hr window of time or find 5 smaller windows of time to view the videos and complete the corresponding pages of the workbook.

Instructions to access the online videos will be included with your book order.

4. Find a place

Look for someplace private and comfortable in your home. Minimize distractions.

It may mean finding a location outside of the home, such as a cafe, church, or library where internet access is available.

Instructions to access the online videos will be included with your book order.

5. Find a device to watch the videos

Access the videos on your tv, computer, or tablet. Phones can work as well, but just aren't ideal (due to size).

No matter what medium you choose, it is best to have good sound and video.

Instructions to access the online videos will be included with your book order.

6. Complete first 6 acts of the workbook

The workbook will guide you through the first 6 acts, incorporating the videos.

It's important to take your time completing the exercises and have meaningful conversations.

The parent guide will assist you in this step.

Instructions to access the online videos will be included with your book order.

7. Complete the workbook

The remaining chapters are to be completed on your child's own time. NOTE: These chapters DO NOT coincide with any videos.

After each chapter, your child is encouraged to check in with you for review. This is where your child may have questions and comments.

Your parent guide will assist you with these valuable conversations.

You are free to revisit the videos if necessary.

8. Continue the Conversation

LoveEd is meant to get the conversation started about love, relationships, and sexuality.

Your child needs you to be there to guide him/her, answer questions, and have meaningful conversations.

The parent-guide will help you do this in an age-appropriate way.

If you just don't know what to say or how to say it, contact us. We'll assist however we can.

May God bless you and your child
